Connotations:

Starts with happy, upbeat music and pink writing
which misleads our emotions as they think everything is going to be alright
which makes people more shocked when they get cu in half.

Lights are a significant focus and the boat is
straight which foreshadows the straight wires which cut everyone in half . The
boat looks like the Titanic which can tell us that there will be a bad ending.
This would be prior knowledge of the audience.

Direct mirroring of the end shot (Birds eye
view) with the beginning (Foreshadowing).

The singer is wearing red, symbolising danger,
blood and death.
·
Violin strings - Foreshadowing the straight
lines.

The music puts the audience into a false sense of
security.

the singer and waiter showing that they may be connected - could be the bad
